    Why book with Wandering History?

    We are excited to give you the best experience. All Wandering History guides are locals who love their community and are looking forward to sharing their passion with you. We want to be honest with you and have a strict policy for openness, honesty, and accuracy. Plus, we return a percentage of any profits from your tour directly to a local community charity!

    How far in advance should I purchase my tickets?

    What is Jewish culture?

    Availability is limited so we recommend buying your tickets as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

    The date or time I want to book is not available. What do I do?

    Please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

    What are your recommended ages?

    There are no official age ranges. Consider your group’s level of interest and energy when choosing the best tours for your trip. Attitude is more important than age.

    I am traveling alone, can I book a tour?

    Certainly, please be in touch with us directly.

    What constitutes a group?

    Groups of 8 or more or more guests are considered to be groups and may be eligible for discounted rates! If you would like to arrange a group tour please let us know.

    How long do the tours last?

    Generally our tours last between 2-3 hours.

    What languages are tours offered in?

    All tours are in English. If you are more comfortable in another language let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

    How should I dress for a tour?

    Comfortable walking shoes! Many of the areas of the tour are outdoors so appropriate precautions should be taken.

    I require the use of a wheelchair. Can the tour accommodate my wheelchair?

    In most cases, the answer is yes. Please contact us before booking and we will try our best to accommodate.

    Do you offer gift certificates?

    A Wandering History tour makes the perfect gift. Please contact us for gift certificate options.

    Do you have any flight or accommodation recommendations?

    Of course! We would be happy to suggest places to stay, please contact us with any questions.

    Where do tours meet?

    All tours meet in central locations. You will receive an email with details of your tour and direct contact for your guide before your trip.

    Are tours always private? Will there be other guests on my tour?

    In general all tours are private unless otherwise noted. During peak season we may need to combine tours. In this instance we will be in touch and extend a discount of 10% to all participants.

    Are meals provided on tours?

    We do not provide meals on tours but are always happy to recommend suggestions.

    Are all restaurants and food establishments listed Kosher?

    Wandering History doesn’t endorse the Kashrut of any of the establishments listed on the website. We recommend contacting each establishment directly for up-to date information regarding certification and practices. 

    What if I am late to my tour?

    If you are running late we ask that you please notify your guide. If your group arrives more than 15 minutes late, the waiting time may be deducted from the tour. If no contact is made within 20 minutes of the agreed upon meeting time, the group will be considered a “no-show” and the tour will be canceled, with no refund available.

    What if it’s raining?

    Weather decisions will be made by the guide. We will do our best to reschedule or refund tours cancelled for due to inclement weather.

    Have you found Waldo?

    Not yet, we’re still looking. There have been sightings.

    What is your cancellation policy?

    You can easily cancel your tour with the booking confirmation link received to your email. If you need further assistance please contact us.

    Your payment will be refunded in full if the cancellation is made at least three days (72 hours) in advance of your reservation. A 50% refund will be given to cancellations received between 48-72 hours before the start of your private tour. If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours in advance, we are unable to offer a refund. Please let us know if you will not be able to make the tour, there is no refund for no-shows. In the event we are unable to provide the tour for any reason, we will refund affected tickets. For Group Tickets, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost is required five (5) days in prior to your reservation.

    I need to reschedule my tour. Is this possible?

    Rescheduling a tour is subject to availability. We are happy to work with you, just send us an email ?

    Booking adjustments may be subject to an administrative charge. If there is a cost difference the amount will be forfeit.
